Start with the Arts Family Festival

Vibrant music and stage performances, art workshops led by award-winning teaching artists, and a children’s art exhibition will bring the arts alive for the whole family at Union Station in May and June 2008.
Join us for hands-on art experiences and performances on Friday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All events are free and open to the public. As there are limited spaces available at each Art Starts workshop, these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. For groups of 10 or more children, a reservation is strongly suggested. Please contact Kirsten Kedzierski at VSA arts to make a reservation by calling 202.628.2800 or e-mailing KAKedzierski@vsarts.org.
All Kids Can…CREATE! Exhibition
May 19–June 8

Enjoy children’s art in the West Hall of Union Station from May 19 to June 8. The exhibition “All Kids Can…CREATE!” displays the work of 51 children, one from each state and the District of Columbia, who answered a call to create from VSA arts and CVS Caremark All Kids Can.
The children created a piece of visual art using both traditional and non-traditional art supplies. The pieces were selected from over 300 works submitted.
The exhibition is free and open to the public.
